The Neverending Pile Challenge: Indie

Happy Friday friends,

Carrying on with the Neverending Pile Challenge, our prompt today is Indie. I decided to go with Colores de Carol Blizzard. A sheer white jelly with different shaped gold (round and square) and silver glitter (hex), along with a very fine gold shimmer throughout.

I used the follwing:
Finger Paints Paper Mache (base)
Colores de Carol (2-3 coats)
DRK-C (plate)
Essie Good As Gold (stamping)
OPI Matte Top Coat

I'm keeping it light to night as its already 12:00 and I'm exhausted. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Don't forget to see what indie the other Glittah Pirates used ;)

The Neverending Pile Challenge: Jelly

Hi guys!

Did you see my last post? I entered the NailpolishCanada.com Easter Nail Art Challenge. Could you pretty please (with whip cream, sprinkes and a cherry on top) vote for me HERE?

Thank you so much :)

Heading into Day 5 of the Neverending Pile Challege with The Glittah Pirates the theme is Jelly.

I decided to go with The Barry M Gelly in Plum. Why this was an untried is beyond me. Its perfection in a nail polish bottle. As a purple lover, Plum hit that sweet spot between red and blue to create the most perfect shade.

I used Barry M Gelly in Plum, Maybelline Blue Blowout, and Bundle Monster BM-323.

Thank you so much for reading! Have a great day,

Karen
XOXO

Nail Polish Canada Easter Nail Art Challenge

Hello Lovely ladies (and gents?)

Before I get in to nail stuff, have you seen the sweetest video with Pharrell and Oprah? If you haven't yet, watch it HERE. It's so refreshing to see celebrities humbled by all the support they receive.

Cute right!?

OK moving on...

Today I'm sharing my submission into NaiPolishCanada.com Easter Nail Art Competition, if you're interested in signing up you can do so HERE. For my entry I did a spring time look using dots and free handed roses:

I used the following:
Finger Paints Paper Mache
China Glaze For Audrey (dots)
OPI Pink Friday (roses)
China Glaze Refresh-mint (leaves)

This manicure was created using different size dotting tools.

I choose to do a flora design to represent the cute dresses little baby girls wear at Easter time. When I was younger I had tons of floral dresses and outfits I liked to wear (along with my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle gear of course). Today, if I am ever in a department store you may find me browsing the baby girl section looking at their adorable dresses, once I even tried to put one of my sons in their cousin's dress, it didn't go over well! (yeah, I may have some unresolved issues about not having a baby girl... so what! lol)

You can vote for your fave Easter themed Mani HERE, and if you happen to vote for mine, then THANK YOU, thank you, thank yoU!!!

Have a great day everyone, thanks for reading!

Karen
XOXO

The Neverending Pile Challenge: Frosty

Hello Loves!

I'm jumping into the Neverending Pile Challenge by The Glittah Pirates Facebook Group. Where we're challenged to use all our untried nail polish. I am a creature of habit, so while I own and use a lot of nail polish, its often the same handful of shades. I'm looking forward to branching out, using my untrieds (and hopefully purging along the way)  I missed the first 3 days, but here we go with Day 4: Frost.

For frost I decided to go with Picture Polish Serenity.
I used the following:
Picture Polish Serenity
Finger Paints Paper Mache
Maybelline Blue Blowout (stamping polish)
Mash Plate 50
Rhinestones purchased from Transdesign a few years ago

I'm not a huge fan of frosty shades (think 80's) but Serenity is different. Not a lot of visible brush strokes, and super fun purple square glitter keep this shade in the present.

Here's the schedule if you're interested in joining (and I hope you do!), don't worry if you're late! Its a do what you can type of challenge. You can also Instagram it on #TGPNPC (The Glittah Pirates Neverending Pile Challenge)

Thank you so much for reading!

Sunday Stamping: Pastels

Good morning!

I'm taking part in another Sunday Stamping Challenge by the lovely Facebook group Adventures In Stamping. Today's theme is Pastels and perfect timing, because we've finally started to have some spring weather here!

I used the following:
Finger Paints Paper Mache (base & stamping polish)
China Glaze For Audrey (blue)
OPI Pink Friday (pink)
China Glaze Lemon Fizz (yellow)
China Glaze Refresh-Mint (green)
China Glaze Fairy Dust (glitter)
Bundle Monster BM-408 (plate)

I love this glitter stamp...like REALLY love it, a lot more then I thought I would. Its less bulk then adding a separate top coat and zero P.I.T.A. glitter removal.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of the weekend ;)

Karen
