KKCenterHK Nail Decal Review

Hi Guys!

I'm taking a quick break in the ABC Challenge to do a product review on some water decals sent to me from KKCenterHK. Let me tell you I had a hard time picking just one item, their store is full of different polishes, decals, rhinestones and nail care products (AND I better mention their claim-to-fame stock of eyelashes, wigs and other hair care products), I choose the gold peacock feathers found HERE.

This was my first time using water decals. How I applied  these was I cut out the image, soaked it for a few seconds in a glass of water, slid it off the backing and placed it on the nail. I should add the the gold is very shiny, it caught the eye of one of my friends, who commented on the high level of detail in these.

These were faster to use and not as messy as stamping. Way less bulky than nail stickers, also easier to place, if you make a mistake you can still slide it to the position you want. The decal laid flat, with no curling (even with top coat on), had good shine and reflectiveness. I also tried scratching the surface to see if the gold print would come off (it didn't).

The product cost $6.39 for 20 decals on a sheet. I feel like these would be great for an important event like a Christmas/ New Years Eve party and you want to dress to impress but (likely will be) going to be short on time.

If you're no stamping queen (because I know I got alooonnngg way to go) I recommend checking out KKCenterHK selection of decals, they range in price from $2.82-$7 and have a lot of great seasonal styles (Hello Halloween!! I'm soo THERE! or my personal favourite lol).

Thank You to KKCenterHK for providing me these decals for the review.

SO what do you guys think? Have you ever tried water decals? do you perfer stamping? or maybe you like to get your bling with rhinestones (A fave for me!)?

Thanks for reading! Have a great weekend :)

    1. I had a hard time chosing so I'm glad you liked the base. I used NOPI Make A Change with SH Garnet Lapis on top.

  2. I have never tried nail decals before. They look great and sound easy to use. That is my kind of nail art :)

    1. They are easy to use, but also thin (unlike nail stickers which tend to be thick) Also fairly quick too.

  3. Wow. It looks like you get great results with them! Much cleaner lines than stamping. I'm terrible at using a stamper, so maybe I should switch! I'll see if I can find any water decals in my area!

BTW, I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. If you're interested, please check out my site. You then get to nominate 15 bloggers you think deserve the award.

  4. I am absolutely in love with the look you created. Though your photos are STUNNING, this was even MORE gorgeous and playful in person when I saw them... I need to get my hands on these (and I'm eyeing the zipper decals too ;)

    1. I admit, photography is not a strong suit for me, AND douchromes and glitters are hard to capture at the best of times! I'm happy to hear that you liked them.... The zippers are so fun looking!! Thanks Marta!
