#LLadoration: Love and Rose Gold

Hello!

February has been a super busy month me! My little ones & Jonathon have all been suffering various degrees of sickness, and I know its only a matter of time before something bad falls to me (has anyone noticed that the mom usually gets sick last?)

Anyways I didn't want to miss this month Lacquer Legion prompt: Adoration. I had to pull out one of my Valentine theme manis since I was in a little bit of a pinch and couldn't create a new one. I decided to go with the love one I had since love = adoration (sometimes).

Here's my contribution this months Lacquer Legion:  #LLAdoration

I used the following:
OPI My Vampire is Buff (base)
Essie A Cut Above (glitter)
Essie Penny Talk (Stamping polish)
Bundle Monster BM-311 (plate)

I had some difficulty using the love image on BM-311. I'm certain that the image is not engraved deep enough to hold the polish after scraping. I'm disappointed, it was one of my favourite images on 2012 set, and the stamp I was looking forward to using the most. You can read my review on the Bundle Monster 2012 plates HERE.

To see the other Lacquer Legion participants search #LLAdoration over various social media.

Thank you all for reading, have a great day!

Curved French Tip With Glitter

Good Morning and happy Monday!

Welcome to February... Where the heck did January fly off too?

Did you watch the Superbowl? I did, but I don't even care! Moving along to more important matters, did you see this commercial? I've been fan girling over Tom Hiddleston (aka Loki) since I saw Thor for the first time last week. You guys feel me right? Now I just need to see all the other Avenger movies and I'll be totally in the loop (HA!).

For today's mani I did a copy cat of THIS look by Sonnela. Her blog is written in Finnish (according to Google Translate) but has a ton of flat out, hands down, amazing manicures! Go check her out! here is my best attempt at her look:

I used the following:
Revlon Nail Brightener
Nameless white striping polish
Picture Polish Ruby Blou

The pictures are pretty self-explanatory. All I did was 1 coat of Nail Brightener, free handed a curve with the white striping polish, topped with 2 more coats of brightener and traced with the glitter.

I haven't used Picture Polish Ruby Blou in a full manicure (as in an entire nail) yet, but its application here was flawless. Ruby Blou has a great glitter to base polish ratio that can be built up, but probably will work best as a layering polish. I can't wait to use it in a full nail manicure.

What do you think of the curved french vs regular french?

Thanks for reading!

XOXO
Karen
